Some very spiffy ties. Bow ties also available.
From Vegan to Hog Butcher: Getting to the meat of... →
From the article: “Also, I think that if we cut meat out of our diets it will be a devastating blow to our economy.” This justification is a common one. It almost seems logical, but after about 1/2 a second of consideration, one can see it is flawed. What if the sentence instead read “Also, I think that if we cut slavery out of our lives it will be a devastating blow to our...
Why vegans can't decide whether they're allowed to... →
Guess what. Honey isn’t vegan. It just isn’t. Plus, why consume honey when you can have delicious agave nectar anyway?
From the article: “Once you’ve allowed yourself to equivocate on animal suffering, how do you handle all the other borderline cases of insect exploitation? What about silkworms and cochineal bugs? Come to think of it, does a bee feel any less pain than a...

Sushi means vinegared rice, not raw fish!
The Human Cost of Meat →
Another great post from the Vegan Freak blog. Don’t ever let someone tell you that you care too much about animals and should care more about humans because you are vegan. Vegans show compassion for humans by not supporting an industry that exploits its workers!

Animal Welfarism
Friend: Why are you so fed up with animal welfarists?
Me: Because they're stupid and don't know anything.
Friend: Oh. Ha. What even are they?
Me: They are people who fight for more humane conditions for animals in factory farms.
Friend: Oh I see. And what is wrong with that?
Me: It's wrong because the consequences are anti-vegan. It makes people think that as long as the animals have OK lives (which they still don't) it's OK to use them as property and even kill them.
Friend: Oh I see. OK got it.

This is THE best veganism podcast I have found. My favorite part? They don’t put up with any animal welfare bullshit.

The Free-Range Myth →
This link is for anyone who thinks that “cage-free” or “free-range” eggs are good alternatives to run-of-the-mill battery cage-raised eggs. Guess what. They aren’t! Not even close, in fact.
Exploitation is exploitation. The lesser of two evils is always still evil.
I'm Vegan Except... →
For anyone considering going vegan but just can’t seem to give up their one last vice, or for the person who is “vegan” but cheats every now and then, this is the post you need to read.

Welcome to Everyday Vegan .net
I’m starting this tumblog because I’m extremely passionate about vegansim, but I just don’t want to devote my entire personal blog to the topic. Being vegan full-time alone creates enough content to produce a daily blog, and that’s what I plan to do here. I think I’m a pretty typical example of an American vegan. I care deeply about the movement, and to me veganism is...
